How to Configure Coupons and Discounts

Access the Coupons Section

  • Log into your Keep The Fees account.

  • In the left sidebar, click Sales.

  • Click Coupons.

  • Click the Create Coupon button.

Create a New Coupon

  1. Enter the Coupon Name (use a clear name so staff and clients understand it, e.g., “Military Discount”, “10% Off First Tattoo”).

Discount Settings

  1. Choose the discount type:

    • Fixed Amount (e.g., $10 off or $20 off), or

    • Percentage (e.g., 5%, 10%, 15%).

  2. Enter the discount value (amount or percentage).

  3. Select how the discount should be applied:

    • Shop (the discount comes entirely from the shop’s portion),

    • Artist (the discount comes entirely from the artist’s commission), or

    • Both Equally (the discount is split between the shop and the artist).

Location Settings

  1. Choose which locations the coupon should be available for:

    • Select All Locations, or

    • Choose specific location(s) if you have multiple shops

  2. Click Create Coupon.

Manage Existing Coupons

  • To Edit a coupon: Click the edit button next to the coupon. Note: You can only edit the coupon name after creation. If you need to change the discount amount, type, or application method, delete the coupon and create a new one with the correct settings.

  • To Delete a coupon: Click the delete button next to the coupon.


Best Practices

  • Use clear, descriptive coupon names so staff can easily identify and apply them at checkout.

  • Decide carefully whether the discount should come from the shop, the artist, or be split equally.

  • For multi-location shops, specify which locations the coupon applies to.

  • If you need to make significant changes to a coupon, it is often faster to delete it and create a new one.
