Offering discounts and coupons is a powerful way to show appreciation to your loyal clients, boost client retention, and run special promotions. Whether you're running a flash sale, honoring military service, or rewarding loyal clients, the Coupons section makes it easy to configure custom discount options for your shop.

With this feature, you can:

  • Create coupons with fixed or percentage-based discounts

  • Decide if the discount should come from the shop, the artist, or both

  • Make coupons available at checkout with clear naming and easy tracking

Tip: You don’t have to discount often, but when you do, make it meaningful. Regulars who show up rain or shine? Give them a little something back. It goes a long way.

Table of Contents

Accessing the Coupons Section

Step 1: From your Dashboard, click on your Shop

Step 2: Click Manage Coupons. You’ll now be in the Coupons Table view.

Creating a New Coupon

Step 1: Click the Create button in the top-right corner. A pop-up window will appear.

Step 2: Enter the Coupon Name. Be descriptive and include the discount value (e.g., "Military Discount 15%" or "Flash Sale $25 Off"). This helps ensure clarity at checkout.

Step 3: Click on the Discount Type dropdown. Choose between:

  • Fixed Amount: A specific dollar amount (e.g., $25)

  • Percentage: A percentage discount applied to the total (e.g., 15%)

Step 4: Enter the Discount Amount based on your selection above.

Step 5: Choose how the discount is Deducted:

  • Shop Commission: Discount comes from the shop’s earnings

  • Artist Commission: Discount comes from the artist’s earnings

  • Both Equally: The discount is split 50/50 between the shop and the artist

Example: If you apply a $50 discount and choose "Both Equally," $25 is deducted from the shop's share and $25 from the artist's share.

Step 6: Click Create Coupon. Your new coupon will now appear in the coupons table and be available at checkout.

Tip: All coupon activity is logged under Recent Transactions, so you can track exactly which discounts were used and when.

Deleting a Coupon

To delete a coupon:

  • Click Delete next to the coupon name

  • A pop-up window will appear to confirm

  • Confirm the deletion to remove it from the active list

Note: Deleted coupons are removed from future use but still appear in reports for any past transactions where they were applied.

Understanding the Coupons Table

The table displays all of your currently available coupons:

  • Name: The name of the coupon (e.g., "Military Discount 15%")

  • Deduction: The value of the coupon (either a percentage or fixed dollar amount)

  • Deducts Against: Who the discount is deducted from: the shop, the artist, or both

Conclusion

Great job! You’ve now set up coupons and discounts for your studio. This powerful tool helps reward loyalty, drive sales, and customize promotions for your shop.

Whether you want to run a flash sale, support community members with military discounts, or let your artists promote their own deals, coupons give you flexibility and control.
