This week, we introduced a new feature: the Floor Manager login. Think of it as giving a master key to someone you trust, allowing them to oversee multiple artists' schedules and access a range of information.

It's particularly handy when you want someone, like a Floor Manager or front desk assistant, to have the ability to keep things running smoothly without exposing them to sensitive information, such as how much everyone is getting paid. They'll still be able to see who's booked for what and help with the daily tasks that keep the shop in top shape.

It's about finding that sweet spot between giving enough access to be effective while safeguarding your private data.

Here's an overview of the current user types along with a how-to on getting started with Floor Manager logins:

  1. Shop Owner

    1. The default account login that has access to all features and data

  2. Artists

    1. Can access only their own appointments, payout reports, and settings in a special Artist Dashboard UI

  3. Floor Managers

    1. You can decide what information Floor Managers can see and change. Basically, you can let Floor Managers have complete access to all the details in a specific area. For example, if you give a Floor Manager the "Appointments" permission, they will be able to look at and change the appointment details for all the artists.

How to get started with Floor Manager logins:

1. Click "Your Artists"

2. Click "Edit" for the Artist/User you want to modify

3. Choose the Floor Manager Account Type

4. Select a Permission Set to apply to that user.
โ€‹By Default, it comes with Artist and Full Access permission sets, but you can create your own under Users -> Permission Sets

5. Click "Save Changes"

If you have an artist that is set up as an Artist and you would like them to have Floor Manager access, make sure they log out and log back in and their account will update with the new access.
