Access Artist Commissions
Log into your Keep The Fees account.
In the left sidebar, click Team.
Click Artists.
Select the artist you want to edit by clicking on their name or the pencil icon.
Open Commission Settings
Scroll down to the Locations and Assignments section.
Click Commission.
Global Overrides (Optional)
In the All Service Override field, enter a percentage to override all service commissions for this artist.
In the All Product Override field, enter a percentage to override all product commissions for this artist.
Deposit Commission Settings
Enable Pay on Deposit if artists earn commission on deposits.
Enable Pay on Collection if you want the artist to receive their commission immediately upon collecting the deposit.
Disable Pay on Collection if you want the artist to earn commission when the deposit is applied at checkout.
Choose the deposit commission type:
Select Service Commission to match the service rate, or
Set a Specific Deposit Commission percentage.
(Optional) Set a Custom Forfeit Rate for no-shows or canceled appointments (this overrides the default service commission on forfeited deposits).
Click Save
Set Service and Product Commissions
Use the filter field to search for specific services if needed.
For each service:
Toggle the artist Available for that service (important – if turned off, the artist will not appear for that service at checkout).
Enter the Commission percentage for the service.
(Optional) Set a specific Deposit amount or commission for that service.
For each product (if applicable):
Toggle the artist Available for selling that product.
Enter the Commission percentage the artist earns on the product.
Save Changes
Mass Update Commissions by Category (Optional)
Switch to the Categories tab.
Select a category (e.g., “Tattoo Services”).
Enter the desired commission percentage to apply to all services in that category.
Click Save Changes.
Test Commission Settings (Simulator)
Go to the simulator section.
Select a service and enter a sample sale amount.
Click Simulate to see the commission breakdown.
Verify the calculations are correct.
Save Changes as needed before leaving the page.
Best Practices
Ensure the artist is marked as Available for services they perform — otherwise they won’t show up at checkout.
Use the All Service Override and All Product Override only when you want to apply the same rate across everything.
Set custom forfeit rates if your policy differs for no-shows or cancellations.
