Waiting Room
Ditch the sign-in sheet. The Waiting Room shows you everyone in your shop right now, appointments and walk-ins together, so your front desk always knows who's next.
Checking a client in
Someone walks in, or your 2pm shows up early — hit Check In.
They have an appointment today? Go to the Appointments tab, find them, tap Check In. Done — their service and artist come from the booking automatically.
They're a walk-in? Go to the Walk-in tab. Search for them if they've been in before, or tap New client and grab their name, phone, and email.
Either way, you'll then pick a Service — this is required, because it's what tells the system whether they need to sign a consent form. Add an Artist so you know who they're waiting for, check the Priority box to bump them to the front of the line, and drop in any placement/size/design notes if you've got them handy. Tap Check In and they're on the board.
If someone's already checked in, the screen will tell you and won't let you double them up.
Running the line
Once clients are checked in, they show up on the board in order, with a live timer showing how long they've been waiting.
From here you can:
Drag and drop anyone up or down the line
Ping them — sends a text letting them know you're ready, so they can step out and keep their spot (you can customize this text — see Settings below)
Start their service when it's their turn
Change their Status or Artist right from the row
Use the ⋮ menu to send them to Checkout, jump to their appointment, schedule a follow-up, message them, mark them Priority, edit their details, or Remove them if they left or no-showed
The tabs above the board (Waiting / In Service / Checkout / All) let you filter by where people are in the process, and the date dropdown lets you pull up a past day if you need to look something up. Export pulls the list if you need it outside the app.
Letting clients check themselves in
Don't want to man the front desk every time the door opens? Hit Join QR to get a QR code and a link you can print, post by the entrance, or put on a tablet. Clients scan it, add themselves to the line, and show up on your board same as if you'd checked them in.
Putting the queue on a TV
If you've got a screen in your lobby, hit TV Mode to cast the live queue to it. Clients see who's up next (first name, last initial — no full names on display) along with the service and artist, plus a QR code so new walk-ins can join right from their seat.
Making it yours
Head to Settings → Location → Waiting Room to set this up the way your shop actually runs:
Rename or add steps — Waiting, In Service, and Checkout are the defaults, but you can add your own stages if your flow is different.
Rename or add statuses — swap out "Pinged," "Ready," "Stepped out," etc. for whatever your team actually calls things, or add new ones.
Set wait-time warnings — flag names in orange after 15 minutes and red after 60 (or set your own thresholds) so nobody waits too long without anyone noticing.
Write your own ping text — the message clients get when you hit Ping is yours to customize.
Control the public check-in form — decide whether clients can pick their own artist when they join via QR, and whether the join QR shows up on your TV display.
Who can do what
Every team member's access to the Waiting Room is set through their role:
Owners — see and manage everything, everywhere
Company Managers — see and manage everything across all your locations
Location Managers — same, but limited to their one location
Receptionists — full run of the board at their location
Artists — can see and update only their own clients in the line
